Our Commitment

Famm is dedicated to providing a respectful, inclusive, supportive, and privacy-conscious environment for all LGBTQ+ professionals. We value diversity and are committed to creating a space where everyone feels welcome, safe, empowered, and in control of their personal information. By joining our virtual events, you agree to foster an atmosphere of kindness, respect, and understanding.
Guiding Principles

  1. Kindness: Treat all participants with kindness and respect. Remember that behind every screen is a real person with feelings and experiences.

  2. Inclusion: Embrace and celebrate the diversity within our community. Recognize that our differences make us stronger.

  3. Mindfulness: Be aware of your words and actions. Consider how they might impact others, even if unintentionally.

  4. Support: Offer encouragement and assistance to fellow participants. We're here to lift each other up and foster professional growth.

  5. Privacy: Respect the privacy and confidentiality of all participants. Recognize that some attendees may not be out in all aspects of their lives. Do not record, share, or distribute any part of the virtual meetings without prior consent. 

  6. Respect: Respect other’s pronouns, don’t assume. 

Expected Behavior

  • If you have pronouns, please add those next to your name when joining the event

  • Use welcoming and inclusive language

  • Be respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences

  • Listen actively and speak thoughtfully

  • Be open to learning from others

  • Offer and accept constructive feedback graciously

  • Focus on what is best for the community as a whole

  • Show empathy and kindness toward other participants

  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others

  • Obtain consent before sharing any personal information or stories about others

Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors are considered harassment and are unacceptable:

  • Discriminatory jokes, comments, or language

  • Personal or political attacks

  • Public or private harassment

  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances

  • Intentional misgendering or deadnaming 

  • Publishing others' private information without explicit permission (doxxing)

  • Disruptive behavior during sessions or in chat

  • Any form of hate speech or exclusionary language

  • Outing someone's LGBTQ+ status without their explicit consent

  • Recording or taking screenshots of the event without permission

  • Sharing access details of the event with non-registered individuals

Privacy and Confidentiality

  • What happens at Famm Connect Launch Party stays at Famm Connect Launch Party. Do not share personal stories or information learned during the event without explicit permission.

  • During video calls, be mindful of your background and surroundings to avoid unintentionally sharing private information.

  • Use only the name and pronouns provided by a participant in the event. Do not assume or disclose additional information.

  • If you're unsure whether information is okay to share, ask first or err on privacy.

  • We’d love for you to share selfies and moments from the event on social media! Please be mindful of others—ask for permission before sharing group photos or tagging anyone. Recording the event is not permitted to respect everyone's privacy.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior or privacy violations, please report it promptly to the event organizers at support@heyfamm.com. All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

Event organizers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, messages, or other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, and to temporarily or permanently ban any participant for behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all event spaces, including but not limited to virtual meeting rooms, chat forums, social media channels, and any other online platforms associated with Famm.

By participating in the Famm Connect Launch Party, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. We believe that by working together with kindness, inclusion, mindfulness, support, and respect for privacy, we can create a positive and enriching experience for all participants.
