Sock Drawer Heroes is a trans- and queer-owned shop specializing in gender expression products, with a physical store and an online presence. Based in the Inner West of Sydney, Australia, Sock Drawer Heroes was founded by Bec and Erin in 2018. Motivated by personal experiences struggling to access affordable, high-quality gender expression products locally, they set out to create a space where trans and gender-diverse people in Australia and New Zealand could easily find the items they need without prohibitive costs or long waits.
In 2022, they expanded their vision by opening a physical store designed as a safe, affirming space. Sock Drawer Heroes proudly stocks products from trans-owned brands like Carmen Liu Lingerie and Origami Customs and offers sensory-friendly shopping times to ensure inclusivity. With their Pay It Forward Program, they make life-changing gender expression products accessible to those in need, reinforcing their commitment to supporting and uplifting their community.
