Sabor a Libertad
Sabor a Libertad is an indie project in San Juan, Puerto Rico, dedicated to promoting Caribbean, Puerto Rican, and diverse queer art. Starting as a microblog on social media in 2017, the project officially launched online in September 2020, providing a space to highlight marginalized voices and empower the LGBTQ+ community through artistic expression.
With a strong focus on designing apparel that represents and affirms all genders, Sabor a Libertad recognizes clothing as a crucial tool for self-expression. Through their Mercado Queer initiative, Sabor a Libertad provides a platform for non-binary, trans, and queer artists from Puerto Rico to showcase and be compensated for their art, fostering a supportive and collaborative space that sustains the community and promotes artistic growth.
