Reparations Club
Reparations Club is more than just a bookstore; it's a visionary concept bookshop and creative sanctuary Curated by Blackness®. Founded and led by Jazzi McGilbert, Reparations Club opened its doors in 2019 and quickly became a symbol of empowerment and community in Los Angeles. The space is a testament to the significance of having a Black woman-owned establishment in the city, where books by Black authors line the shelves and serve as a gateway to a vibrant and inclusive environment.
Beyond the literature, Reparations Club hosts in-person events like karaoke sessions, artist conversations, and queer game nights, creating a warm, welcoming living room-style atmosphere that celebrates diversity and embraces authenticity.
